Today the Indiana House of Representatives approved HB 1311

Haller & Colvin attorney Robert W. Eherenman had given testimony about the bill to the Indiana House of Representatives' Local Government Committee on January 27.

Prior to this amendment, the zoning statutes had not been updated since 1995.

The amendment covers several topics including judicial review, plat vacation, board and commission membership, hearing examiners, publication and subdivisions.

You can read the approved amendment here.

Mr. Eherenman is a past Chair of the Land Use and zoning Section of the Indiana State Bar Association and is involved with the Section's legislative and continuing legal education committees.
